My meggie PLEASE READ

I have a dwarf lop. Meg. She's 2. She's always been a house rabbit. She goes outside everyday for a run but we leave the door open n mostly a few hours later she's back in!
Iv noticed she's not herself lately. She used to jump on sete n table but now she doesn't. She nibbles at food where as before she wud gobble it up and she doesn't want much interaction with us. She will still come to us but she runs away when we go to stroke her.
I phoned vet and they said it sounds like she's just old n they do retreat on themselves ehen there old. I mean, she's 2. I thought they lived to b 10??? I'm worried for her

Sounds like she really needs to be examined by a rabbit savvy vet asap, this behaviour is not normal. The lack of appetite in particular sounds very worrying.

I think you need a new vet! Or if you spoke to the receptionist you need to take her in to see a vet. Two is not old at all and you are completely right to be worried.
It could be a lot of things, pain or stasis etc. You need to find a good rabbit or exotic specialist if you can, but definitely get her to a vet. I really hope you can get to the bottom of what's wrong with her.

She needs help urgently - suggest you start a new thread asking for bunny savvy vets in your region but it sounds as if anyone would be an improvement on what you have. She definitely needs treating today - when rabbits don't eat it's an emergency

What??? Shocking advice. Please, please get a second opinion, take her to any vet's bar that one :shock: She definitely is not old and the change in behaviour says she's not feeling well - please get her checked over
