So worried!!! Conti with leg problem

My Conti Lewis is not putting any weight on one of his back legs and isn't interested in eating. Appointment at the vets at 6.30.

Thank you! How do you know if a bunny has broken its leg? I always fear the worst. Just had such a run of bad luck recently.
Sorry, feeling a bit sorry for myself and my animals. :cry:

I wouldn't try moving it unless you know what you are looking for. Is your vet good? Make sure bun gets pain relief. Hope he's ok.

My Lovely Lewis has a fracture in his thigh bone. The Vet is going to speak to the specialist tomorrow to discuss what to do.
My heart is breaking. This is the same week where I am waiting results to see if my Cocker has Cancer. She is 8.
Really feel like I am doing something wrong.
 
Poor bun. I hope the specialist has some good ideas to help.

Did you get pain relief?
 
Fracture Update. Vibes please!

Thank you so much for your kind words.

He has been operated on today with Plates and Pins to mend the fracture. The Vet said it was not a clean fracture. It seems as though he had his leg caught and fractured it trying to free himself ?!?!?! I have no idea where he could have done this.

He is on strong pain relief and seems to be comfortable. Please keep everything crossed for my gorgeous boy. xx
 
I have a conti that came in with a fracture on his hind leg about 18mths ago it had heeled before he had come to me (without a vet). he caught it on a litter tray at mine so it fractured again in the same place. He had plates and pins in ans has made a fab recovery:D
 
I have just picked up my Beautiful boy from the vets. He has been in there since Friday night.
They showed me the Xrays. My Goodness!!!! One hell of a break. Certainly was not a clean one. He has had a pin put in and LOTS of screws!!!

He is in the Wendy House with Brandy but he is in a Dog cage so at least they can see each other. He is also eating very well.I have also got alot of pain relief for him. Keeping everything crossed for a full recovery.

I have had the results for my dog too. No further treatment will be needed. They removed the cancer before it had a chance to spread. Phew!!!
