I'm sure my 2 males Jigsaw and Scooter wait until I go to bed before they make maximum noise.

They are currently taking the makeshift mesh door to stop them having full access to the bathroom, also they are scratching and biting my bedroom door.

They woke me up about 5 times last night

This is something I have just realised too! I have an outdoors bunny, but he regularly spends time indoors in my bedroom and is fully house trained, so last night I kept him indoors for a special treat (not actually allowed to due to rental contract hence why this was a one-off) for the first time ever, and WOW he was noisy!!! He spent the first 20 mins running around super fast in circles around my room, over my bed, under my bed, making some strange cooey noises I've never heard before! I thought he was settling at once, and then he found something noisy to jump on and play with it all night!

I never knew rabbits would be so noisy overnight, in the day he spends most of his time lazing around being chilled as well! He woke me up about 5 times too! There was one stint where he remained quiet for about 4 hours which was a relief :p

I hope your bunnies don't disturb you again tonight! Rabbits are cheeky little things aren't they!

Rabbits are diurnal, they are most active in the evening/night and early morning. It is natural for them to act this way, they probably think we are annoying for making noise in the day when they like to sleep

I find giving them as much space and as much to do as possible helps, part of the reason they may be making noise is they just have so much energy at this time and are bored/frustrated with nothing to do. If my two are being particularly noisy I get up, scatter some food/treat hay and give them some apple sticks, that keeps them quiet for a bit :) I also do this every night before bed.

Funnybunny, have you read this thread? http://forums.rabbitrehome.org.uk/s...bbits-indoors-from-outdoors&highlight=outdoor Bringing outdoor buns in to indoors isnt as bad at this time of year as it was when it was written, but its still pretty cold outdoors so the temp difference is still there. Its just something to be aware of and good to know for the future too.

Thanks for the heads up. I bring him in fairly often as he is a single bunny so he comes in to socialise with me. Although as of next week I will own a second bunny who I will be bonding with him, so then bringing him in will not be of as much importance. I did bring him in a lot over Winter as well, although never over night, and not as often as I was so busy (2-3 hours a day in general) and he seemed to cope fine, he had a lot of warm bedding and a thick Winter coat so maybe that's why, and his hutch was coated in bubble wrap and covered to keep in some warmth! I'm glad he didn't get any problems but given he was by himself I think he needed the interaction, and although I sometimes would go and sit with him outside I generally save that for sunny days! One day (when I stop renting) he will be a proper house bunny!

Spenser was awful when I first brought him indoors and shut him in the crate at night. I can sympathise with the broken sleep! He is free range in my bedroom now, unless we are out, and I think he only minds being shut in the crate if we are in the house and he feels he is missing out on something.

Any pics of Jigsaw and Scooter?
