Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Mr.Fluffles is unwell..Any idea's?

New Kit
Hi there :)

My bunny, Mr.Fluffles is 4 years old. He has never had a medical problem before.
Fluffles had bad diarrhoea yesterday morning, but since then he does normal poops again but some clumped soft ones. He has not been eating much today, and he has lost neally 200 grams, he was 2064 grams(on the 14th of Feb) and now he's 1868 grams. I am syringe feeding Critical Care, how much should he be getting a day? He does pick at his hay here and there, but not much, and he does pick a bit through his vegies, like celery leaves. I can hear a lot of rumbleing from his tummy, and also just after his last feed, when I put him back in his room, and he ran to his litter tray, I could hear sounds from his tummy, it sounds like when you slowly move a water bottle, it was really strange.
He's going to the vet tomorrow. I'm really worried and usually I am able to have a good idea of whats wrong with my animals from syptoms but I have no idea with Fluffles. I was thinking maybe teeth, cause his front teeth are a browny colour, where as my other bun Harry has nice white teeth.
Does anyone have any ideas? Tummy problems maybe? Upset gut flora? I dont think I will sleep tonight, I'm really nervous that I dont have any idea and worried what the vet has to say.

Thanks for any help :)

I'm sorry no-one has responded sooner.

How is Mr.Fluffles now?

If no better,or worse, he really should be seeing a vet as soon as possible - ie tonight.
