What to use for cutting thick rabbit nails?

Hi there :) I have a 4 year old rabbit called Jessica shes very good when we cut her nails but we struggle with her back feet, She's got very wide thick nails and we just can't find anything that smoothly cuts them

We've tried a list of types her vet recommended but we still can't find any thing that works! I don't want to spend £5.00-£7.00 a month on nail trimming and stressing her out when she's so good at home

We've tried baby nail scissors (didn't even touch her nails), normal nail scissors, nail clippers (her nails didn't fit in the cutting gap) and Mikki Guillotine Nail Clipper that just bent the nails :/

Can anyone help?

I use these

I cut nails from mahoosive bunnies down to tiny bunnies with those nails with no problems at all.

I have absolutely no idea but they look identical to those. I bought mine at my vets but recently discovered you can buy the same ones at Pets At Home.

I use the same, dog clippers. I find it much easier to use two hands to find the nail then grab the clippers, that's not really possible with those tiddly clippers.

Three of those tools are designed for use on human nails so it should be no surprise that they didn't work.

I'm sure the majority of us use rabbit, dog or other small mammal specific clippers;

Thank you everyone for replying :)

@Jerseylotte - After the Mikki dog nail cutters I bought didn't work the vet showed me what he used and they were just large human nail clippers he said to just them and the other 2

I'd just like to say a big thanks to Boudicca who is kindly posting me some spare cutters like Sky-O's ones :D

You've all been amazingly helpful! :D
