  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Lily is not herself tonight, she didn't want to eat her pellets or a treat, she just likes to lay down either on her own or beside Flopsy

We fed her some recovery food with a syringe and she had some, then nibbled some hay and maybe 1 or 2 pellets :(

Im so depressed, I think this year is going to be the year of ill animals, Bella was ill last week and had a dental now lily is ill.....

They are due their myxo jabs this month but depends what is wrong with Lily we may have to do the jabs in march, will this be ok, their last jabs were done in August 2011???? :(

Poor Lilly

I hope the Vet can get her feeling much better very soon

I am sure the Vet will advise you about when is the most appropriate time for the vaccinations once she is better.

Today lily is really bright and came running up when she heard the food. :) shes eating now with Flopsy :D

we think maybe she just had an off day or something yesterday. We are not going to the vets now as she is completely back to normal :)
