The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

My drops have 0.5% on them, but the ointment is 1%. Is that stronger?
Yes, it's double the strength. Your vet will be able to advise you how much to put in, in terms of what it looks like squeezed out to get the equivalent dose.
