Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Hello EmmaLouise - what do you feed your rabbit on and is she eating the same amount now as she was a few weeks ago?

Is she pee-ing and pooping okay?

Is she an indoor or outdoor rabbit?

Hi Emma, welcome to the forum. :)

Has your rabbit seen a vet about losing weight? If not, that would be a great place to start, ASAP.

She not spayed or vaccinated but she has a dobble cage with lot of straw and hay each

Is she spayed? Is she vaccinated for VHD and myxomatosis? Does she have a place to keep warm with lots of bedding etc?

Shes not spayed or vaccinated but she has a dobble cage with lots of straw and hay each day & vitamins in her water every week :/
shes an outdoor rabbit but shes in a garden shed/ green house just for winter to keep her out of the snow and wind.
and she is going to the loo normally as far as i can tell x

If she's eating and losing weight there's something wrong. If she's been losing weight for 2 weeks, there may be something seriously wrong. Please take your rabbit to the vet tomorrow. It's really important - you're all the rabbit has got so she's dependent on you to take this seriously. Good luck.

I too would take her to the vet tomorrow to get her checked over. Loss of weight for no apparent reason when eating normally needs to be investigated.
