Hi Jody

Do you drive?

I highly recommend Wylies who have 2 pratices in Upminster and Hornchurch, they have rabbit savvy vets there. The are not the cheapest of vets however but cannot fault them.

I have moved to rabbit chat as you will probably get more replies, there are a few people in your part of Essex, I'm on the other side and my vet is in London.

I have specialist rabbit vets who take referrals from other practices as well - they also have scanning equipment.

I am in Cambridge - its about 1hr 15mins from you by car - name of vets is Cambridge Veterinary Group .
The specialist I would most especially recommend is Mrs Ford although you might also see Mrs Jill Pearson for some spinal issues.

The number is 01223 249331

It may seem a distance but if its just a few trips its not that far really.

However others may have something nearer:D:D

I would say Wylie too, having read your other thread. William Lewis is at the Upminster branch and is very highly rated. :)

There's a rabbit rescue in Southend who may be able to recommend a good vet closer to you too. I have some contact details for them so will PM you - you could try emailing or perhaps give them a ring in the morning if you haven't had other replies. :)

Your closest good one would be south beech in wickford http://www.southbeechvet.co.uk/ but if there's any way you can get an appointment to see William at wylies (only william, i wouldnt see the others for a specific bunny problem!) he would without a doubt be my first choice from anywhere in Essex!

Good luck xxx

I'd go for Wylies as my preference, but South Beech if you can't travel that far. According to their website, South Beech have completely different vets than when I used to use them, and I'm not sure that anyone on here has used them with this set of vets (I could be wrong), so it would be interesting to hear how you get on, if you do use them.

Best of luck.
