Temp of rabbits ears

should they be warm.. cold

twas my OH that worried me when he said they shouldnt be warm.. considering the bunny had been running around like a mad man id assume hed have warm ears

I'd be interested to know this, I'm sure I've read somewhere that they use their ears to regulate their body temperature or something?

They don't stay a constant temperature, when it's freezing outside rabbits ears are very cold (assuming they're living outside) and when it's hot their ears feel really warm. Rabbits cope with the cold much better than when it's hot. They work kind of like our foreheads I think, heat escapes, you can stay warmer with a hat or cool down by putting a flannel on your head

i thought they change quite alot as its there way to get rid of heat!
id just love it to be confirmed to me
