Beatrix is looking after Ada (just spayed) beautifully.
She has slowed down her pace - though she does have the odd binky about - and is spending most of her time snuggled right beside her. They are either in balls very close together, as they are now, or Beatrix lies down in a crescent shape around Ada, who is more comfortable in a ball. She is being less competitive for food than usual, and is doing lots and lots of grooming. The sticky patches left on Ada's fur from injections and sub-cutaneous fluids are all gone now, all thanks to B.
