Homemade Degu cage- look what I made!

The degu cage is finished- an old converted display cabinet :) Lily and Lulu seem to approve :love:

These photos were taken before it was furnished, so now there is a wooden bridge and a ladder to get between the levels (not that they use them most of the time, but they make good chew toys!) I'm getting a corner hammock for them too, and hopefully I can get some large branches for them to climb on too.

I'm so proud of this cage, it's my first major DIY project :)

I did cheat slightly and use an old cabinet as the basis of the cage, on a degu forum I'm on there is loads that are made entirely from scratch! They are incredible!

We were kind of making this up as we were going along...
