Baking with the bunnies

I decided to have a go at making my own treats for Oscar and Jessie- they're in the oven as I type.

They have- SS pellets, hay, oats, banana and apple, all mushed up and mixed together. It actually smells quite nice! Hopefully they come out the oven ok...

Of course, Oscar and Jessie decided to help out too with the clearing up. So they got the best job- licking the mixing bowl clean! I think they approve.

Haha, my first ones came out dreadful, but that was because i didnt let them cool down in the oven for half an hour to get them crispy before taking them out!

Dont forget to post some piccies up for us ;)

Oh, thanks for the tip :) And yes, will post more pictures when they are done.

Ooh can you post a recipe?

Erm, I kind of just guessed, but it was more or less this:

3 handfuls of SS pellets
1 handful of oats
2 apples, grated
2 bananas, mashed
2 handfuls finely chopped hay

1. Soak the pellets for half an hour in water in a bowl
2. Mix pellets together
3. Add all other ingredients and mix
4. Transfer to a lined baking tray and spread out evenly and thinly
5. Cut into small pieces (makes it easier to break up later!)
6. Put in oven on a low heat (mine is on 100 degrees) until dry

I don't know how long for- a couple of hours? We have just taken one batch out now. They're slightly darker on the bottom where they were about to burn, but Oscar and Jessie approve!

Thank you, I can't wait to try this out for my buns
