Sleeping in the box! I would have thought he'd seen enough of the box! Kitten Dexter keeping an eye on his Uncle Salem...

Salem still has a little bare belly! (And his neck, back, and both front paws...) But it's starting to grow back! :)

aww love him.was the op for tests or to sort out the problem???

Just tests. £3800 worth of tests! :shock:

He has beta blockers for his heart problem and steroids for his bowel problem. He'll have monthly weigh-ins at the vet to monitor his weight, which is the only way we'll know if the treatment is working. He has to go back to the specialist in 6 months to have his heart checked.

He also has special food. He's fine with the biscuits, but won't eat more than a mouthful of the wet food. Can't blame him really! Looks about as bland as you can get! Brown goo in a tin, yum! :lol:

Awwww :love::love::love:

Salem looks very chilled out in the collar. Is it off for good now ?

I've never seen soft collars like that before, only plastic. Much easier for him to sleep with it on, it didn't really bother him. (He did have it on for a week at the vets though, I imagine he battled with it at first!)

Yep, it's off now and the stitches are out. :) He only pulled a few out himself! :roll: It's healed up very well. :) Just need his fur to grow back or I'll have to make him a little kitty jumper! :lol:

is he insured???????:shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:

You can't notice his belly, it sort of blends in.

Cutie-pie has one shaved ear, but its not that noticeable either. One day I should put up the pics of Nancy bunny. Most of her head was shaved. I nearly passed out in the vets.:oops: It all grew back quite quickly.

He is, but I think the limit is £2500 per condition, I think I'll owe around £1000 :shock: The heart condition has only cost around £300 so far, so he should be covered for future check ups and meds.

Most of her head?! :shock: I bet that looked horrific! It's always a shock when you first see them, no matter how much you're expecting it. Scratchy's face after she had an abscess lanced was probably the worst. She reminded me of those images of animals that have been tested on :cry:

Aww Helen, he looks lovely. I really hope the new regime makes a vast difference to his health for the better!!

He's in good hands with you and he knows it!

Sending all positive vibes

It was. I came across an old photo. Its horrendous, it looks like half her face is missing.

You can see most of them on my FB.

Got the letter from Tesco insurance today...

They paid! :D I'm £908.50 over the limit though :( Plus there's an extra £50 excess to pay on the second condition. :( So I owe Liverpool £958.50. Boo. I was expecting it to be around that though.

If I'm ever tempted to have 20 cats I'll remember that bill! :lol: Think I'll stick at 4!

He's worth it though! :love:

Gulp.

Glad hes ok.xxx

So pleased they paid up. Quite a lot to still pay back but you did say it would be about £1,000.

Dropped off our claim form at the vets today so they could fill out the back. Hopefully get it not next week but the week after, minus the £75.00 excess.

We did pay about £1,500 (or was it £1,200), for Babydarling this year. No insurance. :shock:
