Medivet

Really ? Do you mind sharing what happened?
The Hayes branch is my nearest one.
I'm going to email them questions to see if they're rabbit savvy or not

ETA:
Can anyone find me the questions on how to determine whether a vet is rabbit savvy or not ?
I can't find the thread.

I think like any chain, there will be good and bad, and the quality of care and level of knowledge is hugely dependent on the individual vet. Having said that, Medivet are well known for being quite pricey for anything other than routine stuff; the chain was also the subject of an undercover panorama investigation last year, which you may find interesting (you can probably find the info via google).

Weren't medivet on that programme that exposed 'the profession that cares', showing the rough handling of animals and regular malpractise by allowing unqualified vet nurses do things they weren't meant to.................?

Yep. I used to use them around here until their prices went through the roof and I found a much better vet anyway. They had some pretty good vets to be honest but also some absolute shockers. Both I and a friend on 2 separate occasions had to talk 2 different vets through a rat PTS and I had to show another vet what to look for when doing a rabbit health check before a vacc. Apparently he'd never treated eithe rspecies before

I haven't used them, but haven't heard anything good about them, either. Is the Twickenham Vet Surgery too far away for you?

Oh my, I saw this program it was awful.

Thank you everyone for the replies :)

It's 20 minutes away by car, my Dad cannot drive any more so I'd have to take public transport there - which would take me 2hours and 15 minutes

I'll just have to use Pet Vaccination centre as they were rabbit savvy but T.V.S were recommended more by Ruers.

I use the Medivet in Watford as they have a rabbit specialist there.

They are expensive, my hamsters consultation was more expensive then getting both my rabbits 1 vaccination each.

Hi, I use the one in Stanstead Abbotts in Hertfordshire and think the particular vet there fantastic!
It is the 3rd vet I have used in the area and its by far the best. Extremely caring and excellant with both my Buns and my dogs. :D:D
