Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Alpha Buck
Hi all,

As the title says.

I took Rolo-bun to see vets on Sat as he wasnt hopping right. Hes still eating and using his litter. But Not wanting to come out of his cage and hop about. And usually hes such an active bun.

Vet examined him and thought it was a pulled muscle/ligament etc. Gave him a pain-killer and said he should be ok in a couple of days.

But.........he is still no better. He isnt moving from his cage at all. He is still eating as usual. I noticed this morning he scratched his ear with his poorly foot (right back paw) and he was doing VERY gently. When he hops, he only puts his poorly foot down on the very tips of his toes.

So, I think I need to speak to a rabbit vet.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.
