We will be having our Christmas open day a bit earlier this year!
Entrance fee £1 (kids free with accompanied adult).
There will be lots of bunnies looking for new homes! Santa in his grotto. Cakes and mince pies, games, activities for children including making bird feeders for the garden and face painting. Some hedgehogs to say hello to. Jams, pickles and preserves as well as gifts and crafts, plenty of merchandise some lovely veggie hot dogs.
In 2010 we took in nearly 800 animals. As ever we need to raise more funds to pay for the winter feed and the ongoing veterinary bills. We have just had permission approved for a purpose built animal hospital since outgrowing our utility room. We have also just rebuilt a large aviary and built another temporary stable. The need for us to exist this year has been greater than ever as we are asked to take on more and more. Our finances and time is stretched to the limits and this is a biannual event whereby friends and supports can come and see us and help raise money for us.
