RosRWAF
Warren Scout
Welfare Wednesday
You probably already know we're surveying rescues to update information gathered several years ago that showed 35.000 rabbits were in rescue. We're certain that figure will have grown and for some weeks have been conducting a survey to find updated figures.
We have found that rescues have closed, or changed their contact details, or stopped taking rabbits, and that new rescues have opened and we know we haven't all the contact details we need. You can help.
Please email ros@rabbitwelfare.co.uk with the name of your local rescue and its email address. (If you have its address and phone number too, a website, that would be great.)
By gathering these figures we'll have accurate, up to date information about how many rabbits go through rescues each year and that will be helpful when negotiating with the authorities for tighter, more appropriate legislation, and when trying to convince the public not to breed indiscriminately
