Need some advice on buying a rabbit hutch

Hi, Just after some of your opinions really, since im rather new to owning rabbits.
Ive been looking at some rabbit hutches on bitsforpets.com because ive heard good feedback about the company so far. I love the look of the hutches but I need some advice on which one of the hutches would be good for two medium sized rabbits? Here is the link with the hutches they stock: http://www.bitsforpets.com/all-hutches-and-runs-c-1_2.html. Thanks!

In my opinion, all those designs are far too small. You would be better off buying them a shed and attatching a run to it, my buns have an 8x6 shed and its just the right size for them.

Welcome to the site :)

Well done for doing your research first. The Rabbit Welfare Association say a pair of small to medium rabbits need a 6ft by 2ft hutch and an 8ft by 4ft run. Something like this would be good. http://www.the-rabbit-hutch-shop.com/6ft-5-x-2ft-5-rabbit-hutch-with-a-6ft-x-8ft-run-no-ramps.html (there is also one with the htuch above the run which is also as good) Alternatively you could get creative with a small shed and a run attached with a cat flap, for example. :)

I've recently bought a 7x3x3 hutch from here http://www.ukrabbithutches.co.uk/

We did a few minor modifications (not necessary, but just my own personal preference) and put on sturdier bolts/locks etc, but it was very good value for such a big hutch.

UK Rabbit Hutches are another one of the suppliers who have signed up to the RWAF's retail charter (which is why I purchased from them).

Hello!

In addition to the other good suggestions, you could also consider buying a kids outdoor playhouse for your bunnies. A run can easily be attached and you can often get them second hand off Ebay at a reasonable price.

My rabbits have a shed and as well as the other benefits I find it much easier to clean than a hutch!
