Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Possible pregnant bunny

Hammy

Young Bun
I think she is a lop, don't know what kind of lop. But I rescued her and a boy rex. They are both about 3 months old but I was told they were both girls. Until I realised a few weeks later he was a boy and I keeping them separate until he is castrated. But she has gone quite fat all of a sudden, I am now worried as they have been together from before I got thrm and for about 2 weeks at my house. Any advice on what to look for?

I will be devastated if she is, I feel bad, she is so young.

I would get her to your vets as soon as possible. the vets will be able to advise on whether she is pregnant and the best course of action.

Good luck and well done for taking her on

It's bad when they tell you the wrong sex of the rabbit....I was told the same and never thought to check, as trusted Pets at Home's word! Luckily, I only have the one rabbit, so no pregnancies.

Best of luck, let us know how you get on. And hope you find good homes if the bun is pregnant xx

Due to her age if she is pregnant the vet may suggest an emergency spay if they feel she is old enough and its an option as she is very young to be having babies of her own. I would get to the vet as soon as you can
