Here are a few photos of some of the animals we have here available for rehoming or that have been recently rehomed at the rescue and a little bit of background of some of the things going on at the rescue.

This is Digger. He came to us after a lady suffering from cancer was unable to care for him any longer.

This is Daphine & Deliliah -They were rescued from a lady who couldn't care for them anymore as she had leukemia. She was keeping these degus in bird cage that was tiny as they had knawed there way out of everything plastic. They required treatment on arrival as one of them was quite ill. They have now found a loving home in Leeds.

This is Humphrey- He came to us separate to Digger after the lady above couldn't care for him due to her health problems.

This is Blackie & Ace - They came to us after being rescued by an RU member. The RSPCA were considering PTS so we took them instead. They now live in Harrogate with a lovely family who feed them a great variety of veggies from their allotments and live with some children who adore them. They are both very lucky bunnies.

This is Sweet- She got her name from us as she is so lovely. She came in as a stray wandering the moors.

This is Missy- She came to us from our local pound- she was due to be pts. She has hip dysplasia and had to have a tumour removed on arrival. She also had aggression problems in the home. She is okay with other dogs at a distance, but i always keep her on the lead to be safe despite her having good recall and being very obedient.

This is Beauty- She came to us after being rescued from bad conditions. She needs her bum washing daily at the moment. She also has dental spurs which need filing down regularly. On arrival she had bloat and has sneezing which she was given antibiotics for.

JsiUol.jpg

This is Winry- We travelled to Peterborough to pick her up along with her bonded partner. They are beautiful mixi rexes, very friendly and curious. She was unwanted.

This is Nibbles- He was rescued from a home where he was in a garden with terriers trying to get at him. His nails were overgrown. He is a friendly and inquisitive bunny.

This is Ravey- He was recently rehomed to a lovely family in Shipley to be bonded with a female. He was orginally unwanted.

This is Sebastian- Winrys bonded partner. He is very friendly and loving. He is is also a mini rex who was unwanted.

FxX4cl.jpg

This is Smudge- He came to us with dental problems which have now resolved with a high hay and veggie diet. He also had his tear ducts flushed and is looking brighter. He still struggles with people coming towards him and putting hands into his hutch. However he will be stroked on the back now for a few seconds whilst eating, which is a massive improvement. He was unwanted by a family after attacking the children.

This is Harold & Marge- They are still with us, but have found a home as of this saturday! So pleased for them as they have been in rescue awhile. They are both so lovely. They were unwanted due to a change in circumstances.

This is Flopsey and Hermy- They are still with us after being rescued by an RU member from a neglected situation. They are still looking for the perfect home.

This is Chestnut. He came to us from an RU member after being kept in a hamster cage by his previous owner. He has now found an amazing home in London with a bonded partner in a large fox proof avairy on the outside of the house.

ggzSAl.jpg

This is Sugs- we travelled to Cheshire to collect him. He had his tear ducts flushed on arrival and was sneezing. He was rescued from bad conditions.

Kyk7Ql.jpg

This is Kisses- sugs bonded partner- again rescued from a bad situation and has dental problems which required treatment along with sneezing. We don't recommend shavings or mixed feed.

EBs87l.jpg

This is Vivienne. She has come to us after the owner doesn't want her anymore due to her attacking the baby. She is good with adults and other cats. She is still available for rehoming. She is 6.5 years old.

Our current vet bill is £925.00 this month due to operations, xrays, cultures, neutering, dentals, worming treatments, vaccinations for mixi and vhd. We are now able to take in farm animals and larger wildlife. We are entirely self funded at present and run by volunteers.

so many beautiful animals - so sad to see so many "unwanteds" and bad conditions :( but so good that they have been rescued

aw so many lovely animals. Well done on rescuing them. :) Please can you post pics of the accomodation? I find it really great to see how rescues accommodate the animals in their care, they always try their best.
