help - bunny died unexpectedly

New Kit
Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone can offer any advice.... my beautiful 9 year old bunny died in the garden a couple of days ago (unfortunately i wasn't with him when he went but saw him an hour before and he was fine, absolutely no signs of what was about to happen). Its a walled garden that he's been running around in during the day for the past 6 years... he was out there with my other two bunnies and 2 chickens. I found him near the back door laying on his side as if he was asleep... Prior to going out that morning he'd had his breakfast of pellets and a cabbage leaf then took himself outside and looked perfectly healthy, (poos normal but had lost a bit of weight the last few months).

2 days before he'd eaten a chocolate raisin and a bit of wholegrain bread - could this have caused it? Also i'd recently introduced a new female rabbit to him and his mate - he adored her at first, chinning everywhere she went, even her poos! This new gal was unnuetuered and quite a bit bigger and sometimes chased him and tried to climb on him when first introduced, and nipped him on the back, however the last few days and the day he died that had all stopped and they were sitting happily together in he garden not bothering each other....... an hour later he was dead

Any help would be greatly appreciated as he was my much loved boy!! Thank you
