I can't believe it's been a year since Our Big Beautiful Girl, Lily Hope went to Rainbow Bridge, not a day goes by when we don't think of her, she stole our hearts and touched everyone on the forum, we miss her so much and wish we could have done more for her, she was so badly let down

I can't believe it's a year since your special girl left you Theo

She touched the hearts of us all - I am so sorry that humans let her down so badly before she found her forever home with you & Roy  She was lucky to get to spend the time she did with such dedicated & loving bunny parents - hugs to you both xxx

Hope you're having fun beautiful girl, sleep well princess xxxx

What a star bunny she was. I hope that she is having a great time at the bridge.

Sleep tight always angel Lily xx

A year has gone so quick.... :(
Hope you're enjoying the Bridge LH, you will always walk the RU hall of fame.

Heard this recently, I think it fits... "So long as we speak their names, and keep them in our minds, they will never stray from our hearts." :)

For those of you who don't know her story, Lily-Hope was removed from a house along with a large number of other bunnies, she was unable to walk due to her feet, she had horrendous sores on all four feet, she had a broken right foot and she was unable to bend her left leg, she had pus coming from her skin on her bum, she was dreadfully underweight and weighed only 3.85kgs when she should have been 7-8kgs, the previous owner was trying to breed from her

When she was well enough to travel to the specialist we took her and we were not prepared for what he found, Lily-Hope had 3 breaks in her right foot and due to the neglect had osteomylitis and her bones in her foot had disintegrated and there was nothing left, it was also found that she had an old break in her left leg and the bones had fused and she was unable to bend or move it, nothing could be done, we made the awful decision of helping her to the bridge

The previous owners were not prosecuted even though the specialist and the vet were prepared to go to court and there was cast iron proof of neglect and cruelty

I have been thinking of you today Theo, this must be such a sad day for you. You did so much to help Lily-Hope after all she had been through, I know how desperately you wanted to make her better and give her a better life. This girl and her story really really got to me :cry:

I really hope you are happily binkying free at the Bridge Lily-Hope. xx

Big hugs Theo, thinking of you xx
