Yesterday we bought home a little lilac mini lop doe. We bought a box with us, but misjudged her size, and she was so small she slid around in the car. So I held her firmly on my lap: she buried her face in my sleeve and stayed perfectly still for the whole journey.
We've been looking for a friend for our dutch for a few weeks now, and checked all the local rescues, but their females are either already bonded, over 4 years old, or a breed too large for us to currently accommodate.
We've named her April, because she was born in April, and Freyja, after the norse God. So her full name is April Freyja. She's 4 months old, and is shy and tame at the moment, but loves exploring. She stepped on my laptop keys, the screen lit up, and she ran across the room.
I've never had a mini lop before. The breeder thinks she's fully grown now, but she still seems so small.
Anyway, pictures
This is the muesli she was being fed on at her previous home. We're going to wean her onto pellets as soon as possible.
