Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

I took snowball to the vets today for her to have her spray scar checked, the vet said it looked a bit sore so put some more glue on it. (She took her out the back to do this) She came back and said she is a ficey (sp) rabbit. I didnt think anything of it as she doesnt like being pick up.

I put her in her run when we came back from the vets, went out about 12 o'clock to give her herbs which she eat. I went out and left her in her run like I do as it is secure. When I came back she was in the little hutch so I put in some dandelions I got from a friends garden. I put them in the run but she didnt move. I opened the lid on the hutch and she moved to see me.

When I went out to see her later she was still in the hutch and hadnt eaten the dandelions. So I put them in the hutch and she ate them.

Later on I went to put her back in her big hutch, she was fine with me picking her up and then went straight to her bedroom bit. I put in her bowl of food but she showed no interest which is so unlike her.

She has poo'd and wee'd but her poos looked a bit loose. I am so worried about her. What should I do?

To me she sounds in pain. I would call the vets. Getting her checked and some pain relief is vital. I wonder what she did that made him say she was feisty; that would worry me as an owner. I would be thinking if she injured herself out the back, to be honest.

Thanks for the reply, Yes thats what I was thinking but when I put her in the run from the vets she seemed fine and sat in her hay litter tray and started eating hay. I will go and see her now to see how she is.

What else I have been thinking is she has eaten something she shouldnt as the leaves are falling of the neighbours tree now.

xx

I think I will call me vets and speak to the emergency vet.

She is moving about a lot more now. I called the emergency vet and he said to keep an eye on her through the night.

I will call my vet in the morning.

if her scar looks sore it could be infected did they give any antibiotics to give her and she does sound in pain :( how long ago did she have the spay? ive not had a girl done myself so have no idea how quick they should heal but a vet saying it looks sore would really worry me :?

hope she feels better soon xxx

The vet said it didnt look infected so no antibiotics or pain relief .

She was spayed 2 weeks ago.

She is eaten some hay and pellets today and has eaten the grass and herbs I put in last night.

She has poo'd and wee'd but her poos still dont look right, I will keep a close eye on her today.

I am beginning to think it is something she has eaten not to do with her spay.

xx
