Making a litter tray..

whitehood

Warren Veteran
Would this make a good wee/water proof litter tray?

Make a cuboid shape [rectangle litter tray shape] with plywood.
A thin wooden frame might be needed, to nail the plywood into.
Then fit in lino for the base, and cut lino pieces to stick to the four walls.
Then fill the gaps with silicon?

Then paint the outside wood bit with a simple colour.

And to add something in, you could section off an area to put hay into.
So they eat it and use the litter tray section for the poops.

I don't see why that wouldn't work :)

But you might find it less effort to buy a large plastic box, and put the litter tray inside. That's what I did. I will try and post a pic in a moment :)

It goes under the sideboard which you can see behind, and they have their little house joining it through the opening on the right, which has more hay inside. (They are free-range in the house, so this is just a base for pooing and eating :)).
