grass cutting?

Why is grass cutting not safe? I was going to cut mine today as it is looking like a jungle for there arrival on Wednessday but they might be coming at the weekend now So is it still ok to cut the grass today? Thankyou

Grass ferments once its been cut, fermented grass can cause gas/bloat in bunnies, which is why its not safe.

However, if you cut the grass today, it should be safe by saturday, in my eyes.

It's fine to cut the grass but you shouldn't feed it to them because the clippings ferment very quickly (it's fine to feed grass that's been cut with scissors though).

We have a box on the mower that collects the cuttings so the bunnies have always gone back on the grass the same day.

I have these which I cut grass with to feed to the buns. I give them some fresh on the day and dry the rest for winter.
