i rehomed 2 female rabbits there claws were very long the mother was easy to do and she let me doit with out a fuss she however she had white claws unfortunatly the baby has black nails she was allso alot more skitish i got through some of them then she got very skitish so i reashured her calmed her down went to do another she flinched and i cut too short
she is ok now tho she got cuddles and a carrot till i made sure the bleeding had stopped i will keep a very close eye on her and book them both in for a routeen check at the vet this week
my question is how do you clip black claws when you cant see how high you are going ? i do my other black rabbit fine i think it was down to her flinching and its not happend before just wondered if there is a better way of doing it as it must distress them some what
