Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

I did post on saturday that Kitten had a white spot that had developed on her eye, we have seen the vet and he thinks its an old trauma as when he looked with the light there was an old puncture mark, so we just have to keep a watch that it doesnt change. I was so worried about it being an ulcer which he would rule out the possibilty but there was no evidience at the moment so, i thought i would post a picture for anyone who is intrested as when i did a search i could find any x

it just looks like a white fleck almost directly in the pupil

Did the vet put the dye in to determine whether it was an ulcer or not?

I hope it clears up soon.

Hi, yep he checked it with the light and drops and said there was no ulcer (thats what i was thinking too .... i did a search on here and kept coming up with E.C ulcers) there was no change to the surface of the eye he thinks it looks like an old injury and the scar tissue is causing the white spot, she could easily have had a scratch she was in with her mother previous to coming to us and they fought she also had a nasty infection just after birth and vet also said that could have caused the problem.

She is fine in herself nothing doesnt seem to bother her at all but when he checked the vision was reduced in that eye xxx

thanks for ur reply x
