View Full Version : *bashes head* Sky again. UD post 22

We're struggling with Sky again. He's my best boy. MY best friend. And he's not ok and that's not ok.

And now I'm stumped. His dental times have been getting shorter but he only had one two weeks ago. Think he is in pain elsewhere, unless he has tuned into my stress levels (which would not be surprising because he considers me his as much as I consider him mine) and gone 'funny' because of that.

It's just so horrible when your best friend is ill and you want to make him better and you can't.

Off to the vets later.

Curse having best friends with shorter life spans.

I'm so sorry to hear he is poorly. Sending many vibes that the vet can find a cause and you both can get him back to 100% again soon.

You're all so nice, thank you :)

I have this complete fear of losing Sky which only rears it's head when he isn't normal. When Sky isn't normal, within about 3 days, roughly, he will go off his food and then we have a catastrophy.

In this instance Sky wasn't normal so we went to the vets. His teeth are perfect, gut perfect, lungs and heart all good, but clever Sky appears to have bitten his tongue. Not the huge disaster I feared (hopefully), but Sky being a wuss means every little unnormal thing causing him to act not good.

So, Metacam for a few days ans hope it sorts it. If he can't heal it then he will go in for a GA and have everything checked and his teeth burred down a bit to try and stop him biting it.

My vet thinks maybe something like our cracking storm made him jump at some point. Silly bunny!

Thanks everyone. Sorry for over catastrophising.
