Baytril and Metacam

Metacam is also an anti-inflammatory. My Santa used to have metacam to reduce swelling in her nasal passages :)

Metacam is like a neurofen (sp???) for rabbits I got told  Looks kinda like it too :)

Off the top of my head, some other antibiotics are...Septrin, Oxytetracycline, Ceporex, Depocillin. There are others too.

Baytril is the ONLY antibiotic licensed for use in rabbits. So your vet will almost always try this first, as the others aren't guaranteed safe.

The others may be used where the situation warrants it. Some, notably those related to penicillin, aren't safe to be given orally - they have to be given by injection.

So if a vet ever offers your rabbit, say, Amoxicillin orally - run away!
