  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

White spot on eye

Kitten has developed and i noticed a small white spot on her right eye, i noticed it on friday and we were at the vets on sat morning he has looked at it under light and drops - results partial vision in the eye prob result of trauma as andfor poor Kit that its showing itself now, no evidience of infection/ulceration there is a small trauma ? puncture beneath the spot ? old injury showing itself now, she was peviously with her mummy who fought with her regualary!

So we just have to keep a watch and notice any change but poor bunrab does probably only have a limited vision in the eye which explains why she can be so nevy when approached from that side!

She is fine in herself no change at all just looks like the lights is reflecting off her eye! the vet said dont worry just watch it and notice any changes which i will do Bobs is picking me up tm soo she is going to sneak a peak il pick ur brain tms as well shes ok i trust my vet .... he seemed very positive it was called hyer/hypo something basically scar tissue causing the light to reflect the light in a way that causes it to appear white..... your welcome to come and see her the next time ur up this way .... x
