Can VHD injections cause excess caecotrophs?

Hi all

just been out to check the buns and Casper moved from where he had been sitting to face me with a massive pile of excess caecotrophs (sp?). He has minimal veg and pellets and huge amounts of hay so can't be diet. Just wondered if it could be the fact that he had his VHD injection on Wednesday and has been a bit subdued since it.

anyone have any ideas?

I guess its possible, as it can upset a bun in general

You say diet couldnt cause it also, but ANY veg/treat and even, would you believe it, certain hays etc could upset a sensitive tum

I'd strongly recommend a probiotic, such as biolapis if you struggle :)

Loads of vibes

Yes you are right, it could be diet but he has been having the same for months now and haven't had caecotrophs this bad since I was overfeeding them back in December. I will keep an eye on him over the next few days and if it doesn't clear will try the probiotic.

Thanks :)
