Does anyone know about painkillers/ Metacam?

How long do you have to leave it between doses? I'd like to give Grim some more before I go to bed but he had his last lot at 4pm.

I believe Metacam lasts 24 hours :wave:

Thanks. I know at one point Grim had two doses a day, but this time the vets has only said one. He just ate a bit more so I think one should be okay until the morning. I hope.

I know it can be split into 2 doses, but I think they're usually 12 hours apart; I know that the elimination half life is around 8 hours (meaning he would still have half the dose in his bloodstream) so I'm guessing it's too early to give another dose just yet.

I just realised I posed on another thread about the same thing previously. I'm a bit stressed...

Painkillers last for 12 hours, anti inflammatory effect lasts for 24. I might make it until 4am.
