Warren Scout
Rabbit advice needed please !! I re homed Luna from Starlight taking her on with some health issues.

She is continuing to lose use of her back legs, really dragging them behind her ( her back leg has always bent in ) I have had her tested for ec and all clear. Not sure where to go from here, me vet thinks it may be time, and I totally trust my vet, I guess what I'm asking is what to do, she is currently laid out in the sunshine looking so lovely x

Please don't call time yet, as Jane said have you had spinal xrays done yet? have you been referred to a specialist? there are a lot of things that can done for her so I think it;s too soon yet to call time on her

How old is she and is she neutered? what other symptoms does she have?

Sorry for all the questions:oops:

Poor Luna, im sure this is very difficult for you.

As above, get xrays done.

I would treat for EC too, as a precaution, as the tests, in all honesty, are pretty naff from what my vet has told me.

Just to update this thread. I've met Luna this week when I was collecting a wendy house from Nicola, and with Kris' kind permission, Nicola is signing Luna over to me so that we can get our bunny vet to try and get to the bottom of her back end problems.

I'll post updates in due course.

She is awesome.

Thanks for updating Helen you are a truely amazing girl !!

No I am not Nicola. I just love the rabbits and they are everything. (But thank you for saying that).

It's just that when we (rescuers) can help, we do, that doesn't make us special.

I do hope that we can fix Luna up and find her a new place when she's ready.

Thank you for letting me try and sort her out.

Oh right, I was going to offer to take this bunny and get it sorted which is why I kept asking, well done Helen for taking the bunny in, I know you will do a brilliant job with her:thumb:

Thank you so much to Helen, who has agreed to take Luna on and help her with whatever she may need. I know in Helen's capable hands, she is in the best care. x

Please folks, I am not special, I just love the bunnies, like everyone else on here.

I am just in an incredibly lucky position where I have access to some great vets, who are kind to me, and have a very supportive OH and group of friends and rabbity aquaintances.

I couldn't do anything without one piece of the above.

So many good people do good stuff every day without getting any plaudits (spelling?). I'm not special and I'm not amazing, but thankyou anyways.
