I have a baby wild rabbit called clover that was brought to me a few days ago after being attacked by a cat. The first day I got her I couldn't see and wounds but I gave her Baytril in case of infection. I was told to stop with the baytril if she didn't have any cuts as it could upset her stomach's natural bacteria so she just had the one dose.
Since then she's been lovely and seems very healthy, and happy... eating and drinking and hopping about a lot.
BUT I just noticed a cut on her. It has scabbed over and is about 5mm long. Is there a chance that infection will set in after this long?? She was brought to me early afternoon on sunday so has been here just over two days. I'm really scared and don't want to make a mistake and loose her
