Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Heat affecting appetite and poops?

Has anyone else found their bunnys appetite and poops to be affected by the heat?

Am slightly worried about Cookie, she refused her breakfast this morning after having only a few biscuits but she is still eating her hay and pooping.
After a lot of perswasion she did end up eating them all.
She is a bit more 'diggy' than usual and I am concerned it may be her teeth as last time the vet came to visit he noticed she has some minor spurs on her molors and this morning she did have a bit of a wet chin- I dont know if she had just had a drink though so am keeping an eye on her.

Jimby I can tell he is being affected by the heat as he seems like he doesnt know what to do with himself but I have had a look and his poops arnt quite as normal as normal if that makes sense. They are still beautifully golden, of good consistency and good quantity but they are slightly smaller than normal.

She has always been a bit of a 'diggy' bun though so it is hard to tell if it is dicomfort or the weather annoying her?
