  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Vibes for Foxy Please

Alpha Buck
We noticed yesterday afternoon that Foxy was "out of sorts". Quiet, lying around, not bothering with Sailor or us. Kept our eye on her all evening and felt that se looked bigger than normal
A bit brighterthis morning though not eating. Off to the vets and sa our favourite whom we thought had left. She had a good feel and couldn't feel any masses but agreed she looked bloated.
So, Foxy is currently in the vets, on a drip, been x-rayed and being treated for stasis
Have just rung for an update - doing ok. Has eaten a bi if gay but ignoring the dandelions - she must be feeling poorly:( and we are going to ring later.
Any spare vibes for our "litle"girl would be greatly appreciated :D

Well good news and not so good news.
Foxy seems brighter, tolerating fluids well and has tried some hay but ignoring the tasty dandelions still and not pooping. Vets have given her some medication to get her gut working again and she is due some more at 7pm. So she is having to stay in overnight :( poor Sailor, her Husbun, doesn't know what to do with himself.
Everything crossed for lots of pooping overnight pleaseee

Well we've bought Foxy home this evening. She has been eating & pooping a bit but bright in herself. The vet called her "a little madam". She chewed two drips out of her leg & trashed her cage twice - they took that as a sign that she wanted to come home!
Sailor was definitely quiet & now she's home, they are both much happier.:love:
Watching her like a hawk at the moment but hopefully will be able to relax after a few days
Thank you so much for your positive vibes - they ave hopefully done the trick
