hey guys

bella weighs 3.4kg and the vet says she is in good shape but i worry that she is over weight. she is chubby round her chin area but her hips stick out when she is being a tea cosey (sorry dont know how else to describe it) and you can feel her spine. with her being pet shop bought i dont know her breed or history:oops: i know you guys only have photo's to go on, but what do you guys think??

I wouldn't have the audacity to think of Bella as anything other than beautiful.

She has a bit of a dewlap, but isn't that normal for girly buns? Otherwise she looks pretty sleek to me. How do her ribs feel - that's usually a good test. If they feel like a packet of pens she's just right.

 i know i feel bad saying it but her dewlap does worry me, that she's chubby. you can feel her ribs fine, she's an odd shape (dont tell her i said that  )

Is she a cross breed involving Belgian hare? I think when your bun is a cross (as Spenser is too), how the bun feels means more than how much they weigh. With pure breeds there tends to be a recommended weight range. You really need someone who knows more about girly buns to comment on the dewlap. I think it is a normal feature of some does depending on type, and only really a problem if it stops them grooming and eating caecotrophs.

i have no idea what she is, most people think hare x english but i will never really know for sure unfortunatley, it would make things alot easier if i did x
