  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Soo Matilda is about 10 months old! and had Baby Gracie 9 weeks ago(tomorrow)

I am planning on moving bedrooms within a month or 2, but planning on getting Matilda done, I get paid tuesday so could technically get her done next week or week after, but i don't want to stress her out with the whole bedroom move after her spay! not sure whether to wait untill im/she is settled in the new room and then get her spayed or do it next week!

Also once Matilda is spayed can I re introduce her to Gracie?? as gracie cannot be spayed ntill september:roll:

I'm planning on getting them a dog crate as their base, but obiously can't do that untill there re bonded, so they will have to stay in seperate cages which are not ideal!

Bumping for you. I think usual advice is to wait until all the hormones have gone down, (8 weeks?) but you'd certainly need to wait a couple till she was all healed up anyway. Hope the spay goes well. :)
