what breed was it?

when I was a kid I lived next door to bunny breeders. typical ones. rabbits kept shut up in a shed in breeder hutches, never let out into runs, bred endlessly, taken to rabbit shows. they were a very weird family. I both babysat for their kids and also pet-sat when they were on holiday so had first hand experience of these buns.

They had two breeds. One I think must have been Nethies. The other I'm stumped, it was medium sized, maybe about 2-3kg maybe? With uppy ears and steely-blue in colour. What were they? A mother with kits escaped out of her "hutch" in the shed one night when we were pet-sitting, sadly had to put her back in her hutch despite her bold attempt. This was over 15 years ago so my memory is hazy!

Wouldn't be a blue beveren they r a lavender blue and weigh between 5-7kg.
I would think it could be quite a fewbreedsbut siberians are a slate blue so it could be them

beverens are very obvious they are large buns with a madalin shaped body and dense fur also stupidly friendly, i have two blue eyes whites

It was a long time ago, and they could easily have been bigger than I remember! The Blue Beveren does look very much like one.
