p@h Insurance

Has anyone taken out the cover or even heard about it?
Is it any good?
They say they cover dental resulting from illness or injury but i'm not sure how good that actually is

I looked into it, and decided that like other insurance it wasn't worth it because it doesn't appear to cover the more common things, and the excess is still £75 I think.

The For Life cover is very similar to PetPlan except that it has a higher excess and lower claim cap. It also has more limited coverage for dentals. The P@H one is cheaper though.

If you would struggle to pay a £2000 on vet fees then you need insurance. I would recommend either the P@H For Life plan or the PetPlan one.

I think Im going to get it for D&D. As far as I can see the main difference is £75 excess vs £55 with Pet Plan and up to £1,500 per year vs £2k with PP. I can cover any dentals but my biggest fear is an unknown problem that may require specialist referrals or ongoing treatment. So for £14/month for the two of them it will bring me peace of mind! I have been saving a minimum of £25 month for them since I've had them and I will continue to do that as well.

Where is it £14 a month? from PetPlan or the Pets@Home insurance?

I've been looking at petplan and for 2 rabbits i got quoted £23.20?? although this was by adding the other rabbit at the end and not during the quotation process....

Pets @ Home :D

its hard to no which one is best because i'm pretty sure all insurance companies have loopholes so they don't have to pay.
I will wait until shes had her first checkup first, see if there is any issues. Will they be able to tell if she's gonna have dental problems at 8 weeks?

p@h - there life basic cover is about £6 and the life cover is £7

awesome, looking at that there's no option to put crossbreed in the dropdown for breed of rabbit, i think i'll have to give them a ring:lol:

I had Peanut insured by petplan and they were brilliant but cost me £12 a month.

Since 2009 I havent had any of them insured, and aside from a few stasis issues nothing has happened major. Domino has never had anything wrong. I insured them all with PAH a month ago, and domino has the vet tonight as he has a sore foot, so i am very lucky!

I view PAH as a middle ground insurance. If you have 3,4 rabbits £12 x 2,3 is alot. Pets at home offers a good alternative.

Ah i see it now!

£6.82 a month to insure Zoidberg, i'm imagining it will be similar for Mary :)

I posted it a month ago when i took out my policies too, i think is just because its new it keeps coming up again x

If the vet spots a problem before you start the policy it won't be covered.

Your have to start the policy BEFORE you know about any issues.

It says in the tiny print that the policy is only valid if they've had a check up in the last year, not sure if it applies to babies though
