If you think your rabbit has snuffles, and you take them to the vet how much will it cost to check and treat them and what med will they give? And how much is it?
My last vet charged £25 for a consultation but my new vet charges £36 for the first consultation. He is a rabbit specialist and worth it.
I think you will find that prices vary tremendously from one vet to another. If you are worried about your rabbit in any way, please take it to the vet.
That will vary wildly depending on cause and symptoms and also vet.
You'll be looking at the cost of the initial appointment- At mine roughly £20 (for me)
You'll be looking at the cost of the meds- will vary depending on what they give. Some anti bios will be cheaper than others, the shorter the course, the cheaper, also Metacam may be provided.
You might be looking at a dental- for mine that's roughly £50-70 for me.
You might be looking at a skull x-ray
You might be looking at diagnostics if the antibios don't work, which would likely be a culture and sensitivity test.
Equally, you may just be looking at the cost of an appointment and some antibiotics.
If one of yours is ill, this is likely to explain the fighting, and also likely to have been exaccerbated by it too.
It depends on the vet, how severe the infection is and how long the treatment has to last.
My vet charges about £16 for consultation and then the meds were £15. They'll almost certianly give you Baytril first and then consider other meds if that doesn't work.
Skye's infection is ongoing so it will likely end up costing more as we'll need several return visits.
