Because it was a sudden change of plans and we didn't get in (she picked me up from agility on the way past so I could give directions) I just threw in the hutch what he came with, and left him to settle down for the night.

Thursday it took me about an hour to catch him to put him in the run! Lol!
Because of where the hutch is, the only flat place it can go at the minute, there is no way to block off an escape route should he get a fright and jump out when I had the door open.
So I tried putting a box in the hutch and getting him to go in.... he wanted to eat it.
So I got my spare dog crate, and put that infront of the open door and eventually he hopped in, then I just put the crate in the run with the base removed.

So here he is enjoying being outside on the grass.

I'm looking at building a bigger hutch if I can't find one cheaply and will be getting another run to extend it as the run is only about 4ft square, the hutch is 4x2 ft so not very big but hopefully I will be able to get a bigger one soon. We are paving out an area of our sloping garden so I will be able to put the hutch there and let him have the run attached and then will have a seperate run that he can have on the grass.

Oh, and my son has called him Cookie :)

I've also had to buy plastic mesh to put across the bottom of the run because he is a 'digger'! And he is much easier to pick up now that he has settled in, when you go by the hutch he comes to the door and looks at you

Bunnies can eat plastic mesh.... I had some stashed behind the hutch to use as a trellis and my buns have shredded the entire roll...

He is gorgeous

its plastic coated metal mesh :)
If he starts to strip the plastic off I will just keep replacing it.
I didn't want to put wire because next doors dogs make a bit of noise and I didn't want him hurting his feet if he got a fright :)
