Oh dear - Nutmeg

Elena

Wise Old Thumper
She's just sneezed and had a load of discharge. White and thick like snot. She did this a couple of days ago but as she didn't have any other discharge round her nose I assumed that she'd just had a bit of hay irritating it. But it's happened again.

Trinity isn't open. I don't know whether to whisk her off to the emergency vets today or wait until tomorrow when Trinity will be open.

ETA. She isn't wheezing any more than is normal for Nutmeg, in fact I think actually she is wheezing less  She does have a pre-existing weakness in her lungs. There is no other discharge either.

I'd be tempted to wait for a specialist as it's only one day, as long as she's not in distress.

Oh good it's clean, now you'll know when it happens again

Not really cos she cleans it up herself so fast. I have to get down and look at her as soon as she sneezes or I wouldn't know. :(

She doesn't seem to be. She's been curled up next to Smudge asleep in the loaf position which normally results in her wheezing but not this time  and she just shot out when I rattled the pellets

Hi
Maybe the sneeze cleared abit of gunk that was blocking her up, especially as you say shes wheezing less?
As shes totally fine in every other way I reckon it'll be fine to wait until tommorrow for the vet hun
Loads of vibes xxx

I'm utterly bemused. She's just eaten some sage  She hasn't eaten fresh greens for yonks. I'm wondering if it's been there for some time and for some reason it's now dislodged and been expelled and now she can smell properly.

I think it must have. Thank you's to you and Jenova for helping me with that decision. :)

That's okay. I usually have to make these sorts of decisions with Grim all the time. I've come to the conclusion that bad vets can cause more problems so if they're not in pain and it can wait for a rabbit savvy vet it seems the best option for me. I hope it was just a bit of stuck something and that she's okay now.

Sounds like thats what has happened. I would agree to wait for your specialist vet as she is not in any distress.
