Mr Bean-Results From Opthalmic Specialist's Examination of Enucleated Eye

Jack's-Jane

Wise Old Thumper
The Specialist says that the most likely diagnosis is secondary glaucoma as a result of EC induced anterior uveitis.

Mr B has already had treatment for EC, so he is just to remain on abx and Metacam.

Goodness knows how much that referral would have cost me had I been charged !!

Does that mean Mr Bean will be alright now. Other than the abx and metacam, he won't need any future treatment ?

I am guessing the secondary glaucoma is related to diabeties. I have alot to learn.

No, the Glaucoma was caused by the uveitis and the uveitis was caused by EC !!

He will only be on abx for another 5 days and he will also be gradually weaned off Metacam. He does have arthritic hips, so it is likely that he will require Metacam for that 'as and when' though.

That was alot to absorb. I think I will need to go back and re-read it. I have seen EC mentioned on here a few times and wondered what it was.

You must be so relieved there won't be any other treatment needed. So will Mr Bean. He is a strong little man.
