Can I use lemon to deter chewing?

Smoo is chewing the rubber around the back door in order to get out attention... and it's working. :roll:

But one, it's a rented house and two, I'm worried she might eat it.

Can I put lemon juice on the rubber to stop her? Or any other ideas? :lol:

That's what I was told too. I swab on white vinegar to deter them, it stinks when it goes on but when it dries it's fine. Stopped Oidhche chewing the skirting boards :roll:
