Subject: better service for rabbits

Dear customer services,

I was a bit disappointed that you never got back to my previous email, however I felt I would like to email again. I would like to highly recommend the middlesbrough branch of Vets for Pets as they are great, really friendly and helpful. I asked why there are no special offers for rabbits and they said these come from the head office. I would love to see an offer for rabbit vaccinations like you do for the dogs and cats, because they are so important and so many people don't vaccinate rabbits because they don't realise they can, and rabbits need more vaccinations than a cat or dog. My friends rabbits recently died of VHD because they weren't vaccinated. She didn't think they needed doing because they dont go out. She didn't realise that unlike woth cats and dogs who catch things from being out and about, VHD and Myximatosis are carried by flies and rabbits not going out doesn't make them safer. The vet Katherine did a wonderful job, vaccinating 11 rabbits for me (6 are my own and the others I took for a friend). Maybe if you had promotional offers on it would encourage and promote better rabbit ownership? Also your website has very little information on it about rabbits, I particularly noticed there was very little on neutering. I would have thought it would be wise for you to promote this, particularly with the very high risk of uterine cancer in unspayed female rabbits, and the amount of injuries caused/ rabbits up for rehoming because people have had two unneutered rabbits living or socialising together.
If you help raise awareness of the care rabbits need then you might get a lot more people bringing their rabbits in to your practices wanting them to have the same basic treatments people know about for cats and dogs.

I would love for a response to this email with your thought.

Kind Regards

Dear *Blue_vix*,

Many thanks for your email and feedback.

We are always keen to hear how we can improve our services, so we appreciate the time you’ve taken to email us with your comments. We are delighted to hear you are happy with the service Middlesbrough Vets4Pets branch is providing, however we are sorry to hear that you feel we could do more for rabbits.

Within your email you have highlighted two elements that you feel we should address, general information on rabbits and promotions for rabbits. We are currently in the process of developing a new website for Vets4Pets and will take your comments onboard to ensure more information is included. In addition, where possible we will ensure that we help raise awareness of the care rabbits need when planning our marketing campaigns. In regard to promotional offers for rabbits, ******** the Middlesbrough Vets4Pets partner will be in contact shortly.

Again, many thanks for your email.

Kind regards,

Marketing Manager

Our local V4P are doing this aswell, although I think ours is a little different :D

- 3 vaccinations (2 myxi and VHD)
- Wormer
- 10% off neutering

for £55

Just on Belle Vue, on the road James Cook is on, Marton Rd. They have the new anivac in aswell rather than the cylap (I think I've said that the right way round) If you want to see if you can get the offer I can always ring for you and check it's available (or you can say I told you about it).

my branch has done this for ages, its called Happy Hoppers and you get 1 myxi, 1 vhd, rearguard and quaterly checkups for £55 :D

oh Maybe they where trialling it there? last year my branch was doing a myxi and a VHD for £25 but they aren't doing it anymore :( apperanently they can only put offers on that are approved by the head office. It will be good of they improve the website information though, I'm looking forward to seeing what they do.
