My neutered male rabbit keeps stomping at night and during the day. Why is this? Please help

its a defence mechanism. to scare off predators, so he has obviously seen or heard something to spook him.

I cover my hutch when the buns go on one like that.

Rabbits thump to warn other rabbits of danger or to scare predators.
So he's probably hearing/seeing something that spooked him a bit. :wave:
