As the baby is up and moving im worried it will fall out the cage well climb out, so thought if I put a box under the exit, so if they baby falls out it will still be able to stay warm etc..
oo yhh didn't think if tht  lol! it used to have steps made out of cardboard over the ramp, but tilda shreaded it one day after the vets when she was in a strop aha
yep and I built her some cardboard steps and shes chewed them off lol! will try maybe wrap it in a towel?? then if the baby does fall out, it may be able to climb back in using the towel as gripping
Whatever you use the baby needs to not be able to get caught up in it, not catch a limb and not get stuck.
With my cage like that we just made the door detachable when it was open. You'll need to be checking it regularly though because the kit is unlikely to be able to get back and so will likely need assistance.
It's a good job you guys suggested those things wen you did! wrapped the towel around! and then went to get them som veggies! came back and saw this!
my first reaction was to put baby back, but I held back and watched, Tilda ust wonderd off lol and after about the 3rd or 4th attempt the baby climbed back in! lol
